Mighty Oak is a Brooklyn-based creative studio specializing in hand-made animation and design. Our mission is to bring the human touch back into the picture, and we do so by fusing hand-made techniques with new technology. With over 200 million views across platforms, we’ve been able to provide customized and effective content for clients like Netflix, HBO, Airbnb, NBC, Nick Jr., Sesame Street, Estee Lauder, Giphy, Complex, HGTV, and The New York Times.
Mashable says we’re one of the coolest animation studios around, and we’re looking for a Project Manager to help us manage the fun on a day-to-day basis!
We’re looking for a candidate who has:
2-3 years of project management experience in an agency setting
An obsessive attention to detail. You love to check boxes, follow process, hit deadlines, act as a copyeditor, and create effective solutions
A love and knack for client service. You really care about the customer’s experience and offer the utmost care to all communication
A comfort in multitasking. You can oversee and complete 4-6 projects at a time in collaboration with our freelance producers and creative teams
A passion for helping your team and maintaining an inclusive and positive work culture
A proactive interest in learning our creative process
A love for really cute studio dogs
Your tasks include but are not limited to:
Managing our project management software and overall calendar
Proofreading work for Creative Directors
Reviewing presentations and video cuts for accuracy and client satisfaction
Assisting with budget management for certain projects
Taking notes during meetings and ensuring that the team has up-to-date information
Creating call sheets or schedule lists as requested
Assisting in onboarding subcontractors and ensuring that the finance team has sent timely payment
Assisting Post Supervisor in sending deliverables to client
You should be comfortable using:
Google Drive, Project Management Software (Asana preferred,) Excel, and Keynote
You will report directly to:
The CEO and Creative Producer, while maintaining a close relationship with the creative team. Stop motion experience is not a must, just an interest in learning the art form!
