Jess Peterson

Jess leads business development, operations, and concept development at Mighty Oak. A sucker for detail and imagination, she believes that great stories should always be accessible. Her knack for understanding audiences and obsession with creative solutions are at the heart of every relationship she makes, and every video she produces.

Her background in production and communications design has served museums, major musical acts, global brands, and tv networks alike.

Jess offers workshops on entrepreneurship and branded content at venues such as General Assembly, Etsy's HQ, IFP, Brooklyn's Northside Festival, and on Capitol Hill. 
 

Emily Collins

Emily leads creative strategy, story development, and production on a variety of company projects. A graduate of RISD's Animation Program and Hunter College's Non-Fiction Media MFA Program, she brings a documentarian view to each fantastical world.

With experience in the worlds of professional animation and media education, Emily has creatively led teams ranging from professional artists to groups of tiny children. Her work has been shown internationally and has received acclaim by the National Board of Review. In 2013, she founded GirlStories, a free program for teen girls interested in animation, film and comics at the Children's Museum of the Arts. It is one of their most well funded programs to date. 

 

Michaela Olsen

Michaela draws artistry, innovation and humor into each story she creates. From concept development to delivery, she leads curated teams of talented makers to produce unique, beautiful, and pleasantly weird videos.

A RISD graduate, Michaela has spent years honing her craft in the field of animation, making miniature sets, designing motion graphics, and leading post-production teams. Her eye for innovative design and love for the art of stop motion helps her fuse traditional crafting techniques with new technology. Michaela's wonky award-winning short films have screened at renowned festivals throughout the universe, including Ottawa International Animation Festival, Rooftop Films, Animation Block Party and more.
